It's a Picture book now!
I was so surprised to find that Flat Stanley has been made into a picture book. I picked up this nifty new version of the 1964 classic yesterday. I love reading Flat Stanley to the kids when we start our letter writing unit. It is a cute book. Now that it is in a picture book format, the kids will be able to enjoy the book in color with larger pictures. YAY!

I don't remember Flat Stanley, or maybe I just wasn't paying attention. It's good though that books from the past are still available for our kids.
I don't remember this book growing up either. I too love the fact that an "old" book can still bring so much joy to kids today. This book showed up in the Scholastic book order right after I read it to the kids. They were so excited about it that 5 of them got their own copy!
I'd never heard about Flat Stanley until I was 21 and dating a guy who loved the book. It was kinda hard to find, but I was able to get it and gave it to him for his birthday (or was it Christmas?). He loved it, and I thought it was a cute book too.
