Why do we all have guns?

Last week there was a shooting across the street from our kinder classrooms about 30 minutes after school. Last night there was a gang related shooting in front of our school close to midnight.

It is just plain madness. When will it all stop?

The second ammendment is so sacred. Why not bring back slavery or disallow women the vote? Not. What may have seemed relevent at one point in history isn't necessarily a good thing 200 years later. Many things are being blamed regarding the La Verne HS student who took guns from his home and caused an uproar in the town. If his parents hadn't had guns in their home, it wouldn't have happened. When will peace finally come in these mad times of shame. Teragram

it is madness.
but to have it happen at a school,
it is sacriligious!
children are INNOCENT!
the adults shouldn't bring their issues to a school campus/boundary.

cuidate MUCHO!

This is a very sensitive issue. I really don't think it's necessary to have a gun, but others of course will disagree. The arguement is made that it's an amendment right and blah, blah, blah, but as Teragram mentioned what was good back in the late 1800's is not necessarily good today.

I believe that the solution to all of this gun madness is for the gun lobby and its money to take a freaking hike. Killing after killing with all these guns...and no one does anything. But hey! Let's keep those gays from marrying and fight the war on drugs! If we took our resources and diverted to education instead of incarceration, guns would be a thing of the past.
