the world is comming to this. We don't listen to our kids. 9 of them go to this extreme and no one thinks the teacher is doing something wrong!!! When 9 kids have a problem with a teacher we need to look into it !!!
Anonymous: We don't know how good or bad of a teacher this one in question is. Let's just say that the teacher really is "bad" though. How on earth does it justify this action? The report stated that the teacher reprimanded a child for standing on a chair. I have done the same thing as a teacher. Why? Not to be mean but to ensure the child's safety.
Is it right to blame the potential victim, the teacher? I am wondering about the parenting.
You are right in the respect that we need to listen to kids. Listen and investigate if necessary. We definitely shouldn't justify the kids' actions or assume that the teacher is immediately at fault when accused by a child.
It doesn't matter whether the teacher is good or not...these 3rd graders shouldn't be acting out this way!
AND these children were influenced to act this way by whom or what?! This is no way a curriculum standard in any state or country!! So where did these children learn to act this way?
Un fuerte y caluroso abrazo... Bendiciones.
ps we have our 3rd gr district writing test tomorrow...yuck! i mean...YAY! (nay!)
