I am thinking about making mini posters with positive messages on them to post around my classroom next year. This will be one of them:
"No hay que llegar primero, pero hay que saber llegar." (You don't have to be first, but you have to know how to get there.) This comes from the song El Rey by José Alfredo Jiménez.
Do you have any great sayings, (short ones) for me to put up on my walls? If so, write it down for me in the comment section please. If you can, let me know where it came from too. (if you know...)

I love quotes. I don't know if these will be appropriate in your classroom but...
"the arc of the moral universe is long but it bends toward justice." - MLK
"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead
"Do or do not. There is no try." - Yoda

how about Don Miguel Ruiz's four agreements:
*be impeccable with your word
*don't make assumptions
*don't take anything personally
